The Galaxy A51 From Samsung Evaluated

With the mid-range segment being evermore crowded than ever before, I believed now is a good idea to evaluate a smartphone that will likely sell in big numbers across the globe, the Samsung Galaxy A51. This handset a conservative yet stylish design, Samsung's A51 comes with quadruple rear cameras, an amoled screen and a centrally located selfie camera, and a glass-tastick rear panel.
Galaxy A51 has been on sale in Europe from February and handset launched in the US during April and retails for $400/£330.

Galaxy A51 Design And Styling

Owing to its glass-ticky rear, the Galaxy A51 does not feel or look like it's a mid-range phone, the plastic construction feels more forgiving in the grasp because there aren't any sharp edges you sometimes see on phones with back panels made from glass. This design trait with the back panel is a nice touch and adds a touch of class to the phone.
And where sometimes the branding on enbtry level smartphones is a touch over the top at times, the Samsung logo is discretely located.
You will see a camera setup that, for some reason, is becomes even noteworthy due to what looks like a metal circle that draws attention.
Audio fans will rejoice in the fact that there is an audio jack located on the bottom of the phone, with the USB Type-C charging port and the speaker.
At the top of the handset there's a microphone and on the right side there is a power switch as well as a loudness have a peek at this web-site rocker with the SIM tray place on the other side.
It's a tidy if, inoffensive handset that will slip nicely into a normal-sized trouser pocket easily.

Speed And Performance

The Samsung Galaxy A51's Super AMOLED display is as great as we expect from Samsung}, the colours appear bright and vibrant with handset's viewing angles are superb. There's not a lot to whine about other than it’s a little dull (but it's still readable) in direct sunlight and circumstances are not conducive to viewing, even when you have the brightness fully on.
This is where roadtesting flagship handsets like Oppo's Find X2 Pro and the OnePlus 8 can be not helpful in having a sense of a middle range device such as the Galaxy A51.
This Galaxy A51's Exynos processor won't compare to Snapdragon's 865 chip in any way, and going from the Exynos 9611 to Snapdragon's 865 becomes a sobering experience until you eventually understand that Samsung's A51 is only a middle of the range device and accommodations likely need to be given.
Make no mistake, Samsung's Galaxy A51 is laggy at times and I was sometimes left wondering whether the device had registered my touch or not when trying to start an app or use the device.
Frankly, its an amount of lag that I haven’t seen in some time, even with entry level devices such as Honor's 10 Lite that costs just £140.
As for the fingerprint sensor, I will just say that Samsung should have rather put it in the rear panel because we got a success ratio of roughly half when attempting to unlock the A51 before having to end up typing the pin code in.
